Da Nang and Thailand Boost Multi-Faceted Cooperation on 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Ties
On the afternoon of August 10, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi received Mrs. Wiraka Moodhitaporn, Consul General of Thailand in Ho Chi Minh City, along with a working delegation visiting Da Nang. The visit took place as the two countries celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Thailand diplomatic relations (August 6, 1976 – August 6, 2026).
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on the potential for strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors, including tourism, culture, and economy. Da Nang is an attractive destination for Thai tourists, while Thailand is also an important tourism market for Central Vietnam. Expanding cooperative ties promises to bring numerous development opportunities for both sides, especially amid increasingly vibrant trade and people-to-people exchanges.
This meaningful activity is part of the series of events marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, contributing to consolidating friendship and opening new avenues of cooperation between Da Nang and Thai localities. Tourists and residents of Da Nang can look forward to exciting cultural, culinary, and tourism exchange programs in the near future.
