Da Nang Plans to Eliminate All Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in 2026-2027

In the 2026-2027 period, Da Nang will roll out a plan to support the elimination of all temporary and dilapidated houses across the city, with a total budget of about 497.5 billion VND. This is one of the key social welfare programs, targeting a future where no households live in deteriorated or unsafe homes.

Under the plan, in 2026 the city will support the construction and repair of 2,543 houses; in 2027, it will continue to support 3,214 more. In total, 5,757 temporary and dilapidated houses will be removed over the two years, helping thousands of families secure sturdy homes and stable lives. The program not only carries deep humanitarian significance but also helps transform the urban and rural landscape of this coastal city.

With synchronized and transparent implementation, Da Nang expects to complete the goal of eradicating temporary and dilapidated houses on schedule, laying a solid foundation for sustainable development and enhancing residents' quality of life. This is also noteworthy news for anyone interested in the city's infrastructure and social welfare development in the coming period.
