Da Nang Aims for Energy Security with LNG Power

On August 14, a seminar titled "Developing LNG Power: Ensuring Energy Security for Double-Digit Growth" took place in Da Nang, drawing participation from experts, regulatory agencies, and businesses in the energy sector. The event focused on analyzing the key role of LNG (liquefied natural gas) power in meeting the growing electricity demand, contributing to the sustainable economic growth goals of the city and the Central region.

The seminar dedicated significant time to sharing practical experiences from operational LNG power plants such as Nhon Trach 3 and 4, drawing valuable lessons on technology, operations, and management. Delegates also proposed specific solutions to remove obstacles and accelerate the implementation of the Hoa Ninh LNG Power Plant project—a key project expected to become a clean, stable energy source for Da Nang and neighboring provinces.

The development of synchronized energy infrastructure, including storage systems, pipelines, and transmission grids, is considered a critical factor in ensuring national energy security. With this direction, Da Nang is not only aiming for high economic growth but also affirming its position as a clean energy hub in the region, laying a solid foundation for future tourism and service development.
