Discovery of Artifacts Believed to Belong to Field Surgical Team 5 in the Hon Tau Area

During a survey at Hang Da Mai (Stone Roof Cave) on Mat Rang Mountain in the Hon Tau range (Duy Xuyen Commune, Quang Nam), authorities have discovered numerous artifacts believed to belong to Field Surgical Team 5, under the Military Medical Corps of Front 4, Quang Da. This is part of ongoing efforts to search for and repatriate the remains of martyrs who fell during the anti-American resistance war.

According to initial information, this area is identified as potentially holding the remains of officers, military medical staff, and wounded soldiers who operated during the war. The survey is led by the Da Nang City Military Command, in coordination with relevant units, to verify findings and ensure a rigorous search process.

For tourists and locals interested in wartime history, the Hon Tau area and related historical sites in Quang Nam – Da Nang offer a deeply meaningful destination. Although the survey activities are not yet open to the public, these discoveries help shed further light on a chapter of the Central region's history.
