Aubergine49 Restaurant

i lived in Vietnam since 2011. This is the best restaurant in Vietnam.. the price is correct. The food and the service are excellent. I do not understand all those bad reviews. This restaurant deserves much more and it is a gem. It is very rare in Vietnam to have such good diner experience.. I hope to come back very soon even if I am not living in this town.. Thanks so much for this experience.

The food was pretty bland, I didn’t even finish the dishes that were given to me. Artichoke starter was very generic, and was filled with hummus being at most average/worse than from shop. Beef curry main was slightly better having a bit of taste, but nothing interesting or innovative. Finally desert cake was below average (I haven’t finished eating it) Worst place I have visited in hoi an so far, by no means disastrous, but at the price point I would expect much better Edit: Responding to the restaurant’s comment - given only 3 dishes on the menu I asked the restaurant to serve the food promptly. The entire seating took an hou Edit2: I appreciate the fact that restaurant’s only „line of defence” was blaming me for a „quick” service. I arrived at 20:30, ordered in about 10 minutes and was waiting for the service. I expect that 20 minutes per dish is sufficient, especially if I don’t finish the food/don’t enjoy it. Alas, I did not enjoy the food, and found the restaurant unimpressive

Food was interesting and alright But got seated in a terrible seat and cannot fully enjoy the meal The servers were bustling in and out via the door behind me, which leads to an area hot like a furnace, and very noisy. I had to tell the waiter I feel very hot 2 times, and remind them to close the door behind me. (For information, the weather was cool and comfortable outside, not sure why they can make their customers so hot inside their restaurant ） It’s very bothering and I could not concentrate on my meal. This really did not meet my expectations with this pricing of the meal.

This place is suck,food was cold and taste like nothing,don't was your time in this place!! Avoid!!!

Good service

We had 2 sets and the tenderloin steak hehe. The steak was really delicious, and both the starters and mains were decent. Among the mains, there was something like boiled pork belly, but as I kept eating, it got a bit greasy lol. The dessert was too sweet, so it wasn't great. It was a decent place for the price, and the staff were all very friendly too ^^

This is a French slow food restaurant. The food itself is a work of art. Unlike the Korean style, if you simply want to fill your stomach, I recommend going to another restaurant. If you can truly appreciate the food here, you will be deeply moved. The food comes out very slowly. It's a place to savor slowly, talk with the person in front of you, and enjoy. Haha. I thought it was incredibly delicious. The food price is also expensive for the top-notch service and food close to art, but I didn't feel it was expensive at all. I had a three-course meal, and the dark chocolate was super delicious, the apple mango dessert was super super delicious... And try the bath grill too, it suits Korean tastes. It's Japanese home-style cooking. Have the dessert I took a picture of. And personally, the steak was not that great. Ask them to leave out the cilantro. Cilantro comes with every dish. Just enjoy it, like viewing artworks in an art museum.
