Bamboo Wood Restaurant

This restaurant has recently changed hands. Now owned by a young couple who have renovated and the premises are sparkling clean with calm ambience. We were impressed with the quality of the food served (much better than that served in more touristy areas). Good food and fast service in a pleasant atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended for a quiet, tasty dinner. We ordered pork sauted in lemongrass and chilli, bok choy with mushroom, comes with steamed rice 😋

Heerlijk gegeten en hele vriendelijke en gastvrije mensen. Tot in de details goed verzorgd en over nagedacht! En ook nog eens goedkoop. Zeker naartoe gaan!

Vi endte tilfældigvis her uden at have set anmeldelserne. Vi er efterfølgende gået ind og læst dem, og oplevelsen lever totalt op til andres anmeldelser!! Vi er vegetarer, og det var muligt at tilpasse retterne til vegetariske alternativer. Vi fik forårsruller med tofu, stegte nudler og wonton. 10/10. Na, den søde kvinde, snakker engelsk og er mega sød 😀😀

Super gutes Essen! Wir hatten Auberginen im Tontopf, Cashew Hühnchen und Hühnchen mit Sesam und Ingwer, das war alles super! Der Service etwas unbeholfen, die Chefin aber sehr freundlich und bestimmt. Sehr süsse Terasse mit Bambustischen und Laternen. Würde ich unbedingt gehen!!

Lovely service. I really enjoyed the white rose dumplings just wish there were more! And the satay pork was great. Aircon was great.

My family went here for dinner after reading good reviews about this restaurant. However, the food was a huge disappointment. I ordered seafood soup which had multiple chunks of flour or corn starch. Two people had the rice and chicken (com ga) which barely had chicken and a lot of rice. One person had fish which was overly oily. The vegetables were also full of oil. This was the worst meal we’ve had in our time in Hoi An. The air conditioning was also off although it was advertised that the restaurant would have it. The staff was kind but we would not recommend this restaurant.

Had dinner here with a family of 3. It’s a place for tourists but they charge as per menu. Ambience is clean and comfortable. They do allow smoking for outdoors but non smoking for indoors. Food is slightly above average. The shop owner and staff there are very friendly and even demonstrate on the proper way of wrapping Banh Xeo. If you are around the area, can consider to visit if you would like a comfortable place to dine in.

After seeing the great reviews of the restaurant we decided to check it out. We felt like having hotpot and asked the owner if she could make it for us and she agreed to make us a seafood hotpot that wasn’t on the menu. It was delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

The food was really yummy and the quantities were great. I totally recommend it!

I’ve had some incredible meals in my time, but nothing has hit quite like the experience I had at Bamboo Wood Restaurant. Tucked away with a cozy, inviting vibe that blends traditional charm with laid-back comfort, this place delivered what I can confidently say was the best beef I’ve ever eaten—anywhere in the world.

A fantastic place with delicious food! The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was incredibly pleasant. The dishes I ordered were not only beautifully presented but also absolutely delicious – fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors. This is a spot I will definitely return to and happily recommend to friends!

Very good restaurant with delicious, generous dishes at reasonable prices... You will of course find all the typical local dishes of Hoi An. Wonderful staff. Very good value for money. I highly recommend.

We were eating at this restaurant at noon today. The Ban Xeo was super delicious! Also, the woman showed us how to eat it, as there is a technique to it. Highly recommended!

I was shocked by the prices inside Hoi An Old Town, so I walked toward the outskirts. Seeing the empty interior, my sense of challenge kicked in and I went in. The food was not bad, and the staff were friendly. It was much cheaper than the Old Town, so I was satisfied. However, if the air conditioner is not on, it's cooler outside than inside, so I recommend eating at an outdoor table lol. I ordered two beers and two dishes and paid 7,000 won.

Excellent restaurant with typical dishes of Hoi An, the prices are ridiculously low and the menu contains many vegetarian options. The portions are also very generous. The waitresses, the cook, and the owner are lovely women 💫

What can I say? If you want to feast at a ridiculously low price, then you've chosen the right place! We went there twice and would have come back if we had more time. The staff was also very kind! There were 6 of us and it cost us barely 30€ for several dishes and 15-16 beers, so go there with your eyes closed.
