Bep Ngot has delicious fermented noodle soup (bun mam) at affordable prices and fast service, but the chicken rice is criticized for being tough, hard, and not fresh. The clean space and enthusiastic staff are plus points. The quality of the chicken needs improvement to truly live up to the name of Phu Yen chicken rice.

The restaurant is spacious and clean, the service is enthusiastic, but the chicken rice portion has terrible chicken meat—the meat is mushy, the skin is tough and hard, the boiled chicken has too much fat even though the price should be cheap. The rice grains are okay, authentic Phú Yên chicken rice flavor.
The chicken rice seems stale, the fermented fish noodle soup is delicious, and the eatery has raised prices compared to before.
I don't know if this chicken is old or what, but it's so tough and chewy that my jaw gets tired, and there's slime around the box. For 50k, there's not even a bag of soup, and I can't swallow it. 50k for a box like this is really too bad. This is the second time I've experienced this.

The shop sells fermented fish noodle soup, okay. A bowl of fermented fish noodle soup with boiled meat is filling for the price of 20k. The fermented fish sauce here is diluted, bland, but the flavor is okay. Overall rating for the bowl of fermented fish noodle soup is okay, except the meat is cut into chunky, thick pieces, which is not okay. I've been eating at this shop since it opened, it was empty 🙄, but now it has improved and is much busier. Additionally, the rice paper rolls here are also okay, a must try. But the price is a bit high, like famous shops in the city. The price is high but not quite worth it. Just try it to know. When the shop is crowded, service is slow and a bit flustered. But when it's empty, it's fast 😅. The shop has two types of tables and chairs: high and low. For noodle soup, choose the high table. For rolls, any table is fine. The shop accepts QR payment.
