My grandma used to take me here when I was a very very liitle... Come back here was not because of the food, but Because of my memories with grandma
Soft, delicious steamed rice cakes, only one type of dry filling, but since I like dry filling, it suits my taste. There is a bowl of crispy fried pork cracklings and bread, generous and high-quality, with dipping sauce that is just right. However, the price is a bit high compared to other eateries, a tray of 20 cups for 100k, and the bill was a bit off when paying.
Childhood bánh bèo eatery. Nearly 40 years, quality remains unchanged. The shop is located in a small alley, so mainly regular customers come here. Dry-filled bánh bèo, served with crispy pork fat made from bread and fried shallots, along with a well-balanced dipping sauce.
The food is very expensive and bad
Customers are mainly locals because it is not near tourist areas and the location is hidden in a small alley. About 7000 VND per bowl of bánh bèo. The bánh bèo is full and thick, not thin like the Huế style. Try it to discover the hidden specialties of Đà Nẵng.
Every now and then I crave the "Sponge Cake" (Bánh bèo Bọt Biển) that has been open for over 46 years by the lady. In the past, her stall was on the side of Nguyen Tat Thanh street for over 20 years, then moved to this side near Thuan Phuoc bridge. Her cakes are made with only one type of dry filling, but they are super delicious, the cake base is soft and smooth, not hard. It comes with a bowl of: fried pork fat + fried shallots + bread to pour over yourself, and you can ask for more freely. It's open at home, cozy and very clean. Open from 2 PM to around 7 PM. Address: 27 Hoang Tich Tri, Da Nang.
A steamed rice cake eatery near Thuan Phuoc bridge area, also easy to find. The space is a residential house, with 3 tables like at our grandparents' home. One tray for 100k as shown, 20 cups served with a cup of breadcrumbs and fried shallots, a cup of quality sweet chili fish sauce. The rice cake cups are big and thick, not small like Hue-style rice cakes, so it's 5k per cup, which is fair, but since other places usually have small cakes at low prices, this time hearing 2 trays for 200k was a bit surprising. In short, the rice cakes are delicious and high quality, so the price is a bit higher.
The banh beo here is very delicious. The seller is very friendly. When you come to the alley entrance, go in about 100m, pay attention to the house on the left side or ask the neighbors.
I’ve been eating at this place since I was a little girl. Gotta say the owner is really nice, the taste of bánh bèo here is “one of a kind”, everything is clean and the price is ok.
