This is a great spot just outside of the main tourist zone. I stopped in for a banh ep one night. The staff were patient and helpful when I didn't know how or what to order. The food was good. If you're looking for an authentic Vietnamese experience, this place is for you. I know that I will be coming back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bánh Ép Huế 1998 – một địa điểm ăn vặt rất đáng thử dành cho sinh viên, đặc biệt là các bạn học gần Đại học Kinh tế. Quán có giá cực kỳ dễ thương, đúng chuẩn sinh viên: bánh ép chỉ 5 cành nhưng ăn rất cuốn, nóng hổi và vừa miệng; tré trộn 35 cành, phần đầy đặn, vị đậm đà; còn bánh tráng trứng thì giòn sừng sực, ăn rất vui miệng 😋. Điều mình ấn tượng nhất chính là sự nhiệt tình của nhân viên. Ngay từ khi bước vào quán đã được đón tiếp rất niềm nở, nhân viên nói chuyện bằng giọng nghe cực kỳ dễ thương, luôn tươi cười, tận tâm và nhanh nhẹn trong từng khâu phục vụ. Đến lúc tính tiền còn nói “cảm ơn” nghe ngọt sớt 🥹❤️, một chi tiết nhỏ nhưng khiến khách cảm thấy rất được trân trọng. Chủ quán cũng thân thiện, làm món nhanh tay và nhiệt tình. Một quán ăn vặt hội tụ đủ tiêu chí ngon – rẻ – phục vụ tận tâm – không khí thân thiện, rất phù hợp để sinh viên ghé ăn sau giờ học hoặc tụ tập cùng bạn bè. Nếu đang ở gần Đại học Kinh tế thì nhất định lưu ngay Bánh Ép Huế 1998 để có dịp ghé thử nha! 💗

Tạm ổn. Mắm nêm không được ngon cho lắm. Quán có rau nhiều, tự phục vụ . Muốn ăn bao nhiêu thì gắp bấy nhiêu Bánh bột lọc 7/10 so với mình ăn ở Huế thuii

Banh Ep 1998 is located right on Chau Thi Vinh Te Street, easy to find and quite crowded in the late afternoon. I stopped by to try it and found it to be a very decent snack spot in its price range. The main dish is Hue-style pressed cake (banh ep Hue), the cake is served hot, moderately chewy, and you can choose to have it pressed crispy. The fillings are diverse, such as pate, egg, meat, served with fresh herbs and a fairly flavorful dipping sauce that suits my taste. In addition, there are pressed bread and pressed cake sandwiches, which are also tasty, convenient, and quick. The snack menu is quite rich, including chicken feet, mixed fermented pork roll (tre tron), rice paper with egg (banh trang trung)... suitable for groups ordering multiple dishes to share. Prices are generally cheap, suitable for students. The shop is a sidewalk style, so the space is simple, sometimes crowded and you have to wait a bit, but the service is fast and the food is hot. Overall: a delicious snack shop with good prices, worth trying if you like Hue-style pressed cake and snacks. Personal rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

The pressed cake here is very delicious, authentic Hue flavor, making me come here many times. If you want to enjoy delicious pressed cake, this is the right choice, it won't disappoint you 😍😍😍. Besides, I also like the chicken feet here, my favorite dish 😘

Nothing more to say than the other comments, delicious, cheap and original, I had been passing by for a while and it caught my eye, I am not disappointed.

I like local vibes when I travel. There were no Koreans at all, and no foreigners either, haha. I just saw only Vietnamese people eating there, so I stopped by, haha. I went last year and went again this year. It's a restaurant I've visited twice, haha.
