Highlands Coffee

Below expectations and Not worth the price!!! I purchased candles for 550,000 VND from this store at Da Nang International Airport, Vietnam on 24 February 2026. Unfortunately, after returning to Thailand and opening the product, I found visible dust fibers and foreign particles across the surface of the candle, as shown in the attached photograph. This was very disappointing, especially considering the price, the brand, and the expectation of quality from a store located in an international airport. I hope the store will improve its quality control to prevent this from happening to other customers.

We’ve had Highlands Coffee before and usually enjoy it, but this visit was disappointing. We ordered large coffees with condensed milk — one hot and one iced. When the hot coffee was served, we were told it only comes in one size, and the cup was only about half full, which was surprising. The iced coffee was filled mostly with ice, leaving very little actual coffee. This was not how our drinks were prepared at other Highlands locations. When we tried to clarify, the barista was dismissive and made us feel like our questions were unreasonable. Overall, the experience felt inconsistent and unwelcoming.

I only went here because when I was ordering there coffee they said they would give me a second glass with ice in it (empty). So I could take my dietary supplement drink… only to then hand me the coffee I ordered and decide they didn’t want to hand me another empty glass?!? What a joke. We’re SO rude about it… Also the coffee was DISGUSTING and wayyyyy overpriced. Worst coffee I had in Vietnam on top of being incredibly rude and deceptive.

Absolut erste Wahl in Vietnam. Hier wird der beste Kaffee serviert. Etwas hochpreisiger als anderswo, aber auch sehr gut. Lohnt sich

I attempted to buy a coffee this afternoon at 2:40pm. Yet when I got to the counter, the two baristas were counting the till and told me to come back in 20 minutes as they were changing shift. Ok. No problem. I sit down to wait and not even 5 minutes later, they start taking people’s orders. Why was I told to wait 20 minutes as it was shift change but the others behind me were easily able to order and get their coffees? There are other coffee shops in the airport that are willing to take your orders. Avoid this one with dismissive baristas.

Terrible service. We waited at the counter around 6am (supposed opening time) and no one came until 5 mins later then rudely said they weren’t open yet. We come back around 630 and he blatantly ignored us as we waited - staff member had clearly seen us. We walk away. Come back a third time just before 7 and asked when they would open, he looked annoyed and said “I don’t know” unsure how you don’t know when your own place of employment opens…? Really disappointed 😐😐

Highlands Coffee is a Starbucks wannabe. They have two or three Vietnamese items because they sorta have to because they are in Vietnam. The chain is enormously popular. They have outlets everywhere and the outlets are crammed with customers. I had Vietnamese coffee with milk. All of their other airport customers were having lattes and frappucinos given Vietnamese names to avoid copyright infringement. My Vietnamese coffee was fine. How are the lattes? Ask any resident of Vietnam - assuming those residents are urban, middle class or upper class, and under forty years of age. 100% of those people can give you a detailed account of Highland Coffee. They have spent nontrivial amounts of their disposable income there.

Rude service personnel in the counter Need training for theses people in handling customers from other countries, tourists 🇨🇦🇬🇧otherwise the country is going to loose tourists

Great coffee to enjoy pre flight. We ordered two Vietnamese coffees and got a spot to sit inside.
