I was looking forward to my visit to this restaurant since I am South African. I guess there's no place like home. The food was ok. The slaptjips were missing salt and vinegar. The boerie roll was cooked in a pan, not on coals. The bread roll was not fresh. It was soft and elasticky like it had been microwaved after being frozen. The relish was missing something. Ribs were ok. Chicken wings were bland. Pity. I was looking forward to it and projected expectations the restaurant was not able to meet.

An absolute gem. Very glad we found this place. Food was very very tasty. Portions were enormous. Prices excellent. We are here for a month and will definitely frequent Braaipit whilst here. Thank you

I’ve lived in VN for 2 yrs & this was thee worst. My YT friend is the only reason I drove into town to try this place out. There is NO way the owner of this restaurant would have let that dish be served tonight (if he was there) I’ll assume he was not there tonight. This is the Fish n Chips. That fryer was clearly not up to temperature. The fries soaked up every ounce of that oil. Zero CRISP. More mush and grease than anything else. Fish?? Same, outside batter was crispy surprisingly (dunno why the fries were completely opposite) however, internally the fish was mushy. Not Firm at all. I’ll call it sushi. Needed a few more minutes for sure. Not sure if it’s too much moisture from being frozen or what. I’m never one to leave reviews, but I was so taken aback by this “meal”… that I would be embarrassed as an owner or mngr. The good???!!! The coleslaw was very good. Successful restaurants have consistency with the food they put out. I’m sure this same dish is probably way better and properly cooked if a supervisor or owner had been on site. I’ve read other reviews on here and I’m happy those ppl were served a nice meal, but as you see by the vid. Grease/Oil were the stars tonight. 😔

Amazing food with a big variety on the menu. The meat is the highest grade in Danang, cooked to perfection every time. Often having delicious options even for vegetarians. Friendly staff and professional chef. Open space garden atmosphere with glowing lights.

Absolutely felt like home. Love it! Food and people are great!

I went on Tuesday and they have a Steak Special on that day and Thursdays. Baby…this plate was so good, I wanted to go in the kitchen and take notes! The food was so delicious, the potatoes, the salad and the steak all had the best flavors. Every bite was the perfect bite! I will think about this plate for the rest of my life.

Have to update my review as I'm quite annoyed by the amount of times I've came here midday and it has been closed. Please update your hours on Google or social media. --- 3 year old review below I came for the 180k steak, and left very happy. The steak was cooked perfectly, and what made it even better is the hand cut fries, something very hard to find in Asia at all, never mind as part of a 180k meal in Vietnam. To top it off, the provided sauces were excellent. I will come back for the steak, I don't think it can be beaten at this price point. Wow.

The absolute best Fish N’ Chips in Da Nang and probably even Asia! A must come when in Da Nang. 🫡

Fellow South African here:) Like any other traveler, you get excited about tasting your home country’s cooking in another country, Braai in Vietnam? Yes please! So, I recently went to The Braai Pit in Da Nang and was very excited to get boerewors sausage. My absolute favorite! For those in the know, this sausage from SA has a very distinctive flavor. I have to admit, the flavor at the Braai Pit was good, but slightly different from home. On chatting with the owner Robby, he mentioned that the spices were true SA, but the meat was from Australia, making the flavor profile a unique blend of SA and Australian. Can’t go wrong with that! Overall the atmosphere is open and airy, the staff is extremely attentive, and the drinks are cold:) I wish I had gone back to try a few more dishes. Next time for sure!

Had lunch here today and was really impressed. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and everything felt freshly prepared. I highly recommend the slow-cooked chicken — it was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The berry smoothie was also excellent and paired really well with the meal. Great value for the portion size, friendly atmosphere, and definitely a place I’d happily visit again. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a satisfying lunch in Da Nang!

Very disappointed. I went there with friends for the Thursday special. The menu stated 250g of meat, but when we compared our plates, mine looked closer to 150g, and none of us received the same portion size. Only one person appeared to get the advertised 250g serving. When we asked the kitchen to weigh the meat, they refused and became rude. We all ordered our steaks cooked the same way, but because each cut of meat was so different, the actual doneness varied significantly from one plate to another. I’m giving 2 stars for the service, but 0 stars for the kitchen. If you don’t care about your business just close it …

Good food, good portions, good deals. We've been a couple of time and liked everything we had. Definitely deserves more than a 4.3, especially since almost every place in Vietnam gets 4.9 or 5. We just keep driving by when we wanna go. Maybe some signpost on the street would help to make it easier to find and attract more people.

Food is amazing

A solo lunch - the portion sizes are HUGE and the slap chips were so good. If you’re from Cape Town and you’re craving those fisheries S&V slap chips … this one is for you!

Здесь всё замечательно! Персонал дружелюбный, еда очень вкусная, а пиво ещё вкуснее 😁 Однозначно рекомендую посетить это место для лучшего самочувствия! Зайди не пожалеешь 😉

ЭТО ТРЕШ!!! Огромная порция всего за 300к донгов (11$🤩) 3 Блинчика с мясом. Много вкусной курицы. Мясные сосиски. И вкусная жареная картошка в три угольном стиле. Особенно понравились соусы ( горчичный с мёдом и кисло-сладким)

Tasty and not expensive, like

🇻🇳 A really quality South African-American fusion BBQ place. The grilled ribs were very delicious, and the side dish of hand-cut fries and salad with 500g of pork is a fairly large portion. The Boerwors (South African sausage) served with mashed potatoes and gravy is also excellent, while the mac and cheese helps make the meal even more perfect. Besides the food, the place also has many delicious cocktails at a cheaper price than average, just under 100k per glass. Although not as crowded as some other famous places in the area, this place offers good value for money and is well worth a visit.

Một quán ăn rất dễ thương trên phố Tây An Thượng. Thực sự bất ngờ với chất lượng và giá thành, không hiểu vì sao quán lại ít khách như vậy. Chúng tôi ăn 4 người và gọi khá nhiều món hơn khả năng nên bị thừa, giá thành vô cùng hợp lý. Vì mải ăn nên tôi quên không chụp lại hết hình :( thật tiếc. Combo seafood siêu ngon mà không có hình chụp nữa :( salad rất ngon. ăn xong chủ quán mời ly pink tequila nữa. Mong là quán đông khách để được thưởng thức lâu dài!
