Banh Canh Phuong Thuy is a long-standing famous tapioca noodle soup shop in Da Nang. Rich broth, affordable prices and many toppings like sausage, cheek meat, quail eggs. However, the service attitude is poor, space is hot and hygiene not assured.

Away from tourist area, but this is a hearty bowl. I ordered a small bowl and there are lots of ingredients. If you are riding, it will be easy to miss the stall and they are not in a shopfront. They are right beside the church, in the alley. Had lunch under the blazing heat. Embrace it! I will return for the food.
Ok
Delicious
Delicious, affordable prices, the eatery is only known by locals, not yet well-known by tourists
I dropped by this eatery randomly and ordered 2 special bowls at 30k/bowl. Overall, it's okay. I've eaten many types of bánh canh and find this place just average, not outstanding enough to praise. If you don't specify which type of noodle you want, the default is bột lọc, which is quite chewy. The place is crowded. If you're eating cháo in the alley and it's too crowded and you don't want to wait, then come to this eatery =)))
Used to be edible, but now it's very boring, sweet with sugar, must say it's cloyingly sweet. The owner (or staff, not sure) has an extremely bad attitude, very rude to customers. Eating in the heart of Da Nang but felt like eating at some 'bun chui' place somewhere, scary.
Delicious banh canh 🤤, crowded so wait a bit long, a bit sunny, 2 bowls 40k, add 2 baguettes to be full
Famous long-standing banh canh in Da Nang, affordable prices. Therefore, it attracts a large number of young customers.
Selling but being annoyed, scolding customers
There are flies in the food The restaurant space is quite dirty and unhygienic
The thick tapioca noodles are chewy enough, okay to eat. Toppings include fish cake, quail eggs, and meat (jawbone part). The eatery is right next to the church and quite crowded, especially on rainy days when people drop in for a steaming hot bowl of bánh canh, slurping it down—it's satisfying. Personal opinion: At first, I found the broth rich and savory, but somehow as I ate, I noticed a strangely strong sweetness (the fish cake and meat also had that sweetness). It didn't taste very natural, so I probably won't eat it again, hehe.
The clear tapioca noodle soup is very delicious, the broth is rich, and there are many side dishes.
My house is near there, I've eaten at this eatery many times, but always bought takeout. That day, because a friend came to visit, I took them to the eatery to sit and eat for convenience; my friend is from the South. When my friend ordered, the owner asked if we wanted the 20 bowl or the special with bones for 30, and my friend agreed to have 2 special bowls for 30. When brought to the table, I saw it was the 20 bowl I usually buy, without any extra patty, meat, or bones, so I asked again, 'Is this the special bowl, ma'am?' She said yes. The owner said that lady brought the wrong ones; those were 2 regular bowls for another table. She said, 'Never mind, he already asked and doesn't know,' probably thinking the eatery was noisy and I couldn't hear :))))) At that time, it was past noon and a bit crowded but not too crowded; bringing the wrong table is normal, but the attitude after knowing it was wrong and not changing it, especially since I hadn't eaten yet, and then still charging 30K per bowl, that's dishonest. I have never given a 1-star rating to any eatery before; this is the first time.
The banh canh is delicious and quite addictive when eaten with bread, but it's a bit too sweet for my taste. The eatery is very hot.
Space: 10 tables Service: friendly, includes tea Bánh canh 20k: soft braised meat with fragrant chả, tapioca noodles cut into bite-sized pieces, rich broth with aromatic pork fat IF YOU DON'T EAT SPICY, remember to tell them in advance, otherwise the shop adds pepper and chili powder Very worth the money
I like eating banh canh here for both the flavor and the experience. But eating here in summer is super hot, and the long wait probably makes many people reconsider. The banh canh broth is super delicious, whether eaten with noodles or dipped with bread. Next to it is Co Nhi's drink stall; the crushed green mango and pickled hog plum drinks are both tasty.
Street-side eatery but super hot. Clear tapioca noodle soup with fish cake, pork cheek meat.... Unique and delicious, opens at 11am but packed with customers.
Must say ...very delicious, the only detail is that it opens until 3 PM only
Suitable to taste
Local banh canh restaurant. The fish cake is bouncy and the noodles are potato noodles, so they are plump and chewy. The price is also affordable, and it tastes good when eaten with the drink at the back.
This sidewalk eatery is located right next to Thanh Duc church. It is often closed, so it is best to call the owner or check the Fanpage "Bánh canh hẻm nhà thờ 3/2" to confirm if they are open before heading down. They serve two types of dishes for the same price of VND 20,000: 1. Nước Chấm: A broth-only dish with toppings such as fish cakes, meat cartilage, quail eggs, and pork rinds. Served with bánh mì priced at VND 4,000 per loaf. To eat, simply tear the bánh mì into small pieces and dip them into the broth. 2. Bánh Canh Bột Lọc Xắt: A noodle dish with the same toppings as Nước Chấm. Next to the eatery is Cô Nhi's drink stall, where you can order passion fruit juice or macerated ambarella juice for only VND 10,000 per glass.
The eatery hasn't even set up yet, but people are already sitting and waiting, while others stand to pack. The banh canh is delicious, nutritious, and cheap, with fast and enthusiastic service. I usually eat the bowl of dipping sauce with bread rather than the banh canh; both are priced at 20k, and the bread is 3.5k/loaf.
