One of the best places in town

We absolutely loved this restaurant! The atmosphere is very cozy, the service is great, and the food is incredibly delicious. The portions are very big — even if you order just one dish, you can leave feeling completely full. We came here for the first time yesterday and tried the ramen — it was absolutely amazing, words can’t describe how delicious it was! We loved it so much that we came back again today and ordered another dish (unfortunately, I don’t remember the name), and it was just as delicious. Tomorrow we are leaving Da Nang, and the only thing we regret is that we didn’t find this place earlier. If we had known about it before, we would have come here every day! Highly recommend this place to everyone visiting Da Nang!

We decided to mix it up and had Japanese food for dinner one night in Danang at Sakura which was very good. Stir fried seafood with noodles, chicken yakitori, kimchi, and ice cold sake.

I found this restaurant by accident, and it was one of the best lunches I’ve had in Da Nang recently! I ordered the gyoza and ramen-both were AMAZING. It feels like a family-run restaurant, and everyone I interacted with was incredibly kind, smiley, and welcoming. I will definitely come back 💛

The ramen was good overall — great soup, great noodles, and amazing value for money. I’d definitely recommend it. That said, there were a couple of missed opportunities: the egg wasn’t marinated (just boiled), and the pork belly didn’t seem marinated or slow-cooked long enough. Both were fine, but could be much better with small changes. Hope to see those improvements in the future!

A Japanese Gem in the Heart of Danang

I recently dined at Sakura Restaurant in Danang as in one of the reviews it was mentioned it had a good selection of vegetarian options. As I entered the restaurant I noticed how small it was. Two tables on a platform where you sit to eat similar to a tatami room; but an open space. There were also I believe 3 other traditional tables with chairs. I enjoyed the peaceful decor as it had prints of kimono clad ladies on the walls along with some other Japanese paintings/prints on the wall. Also Japanese paper lanterns on the ceiling and a TV showing a continuous viewing of cherry blossoms and the cherry blossom season somewhere in Japan. The decor and soft Japanese music added to a peaceful atmosphere that discouraged loud voices and added to the tranquility of the restaurant. The restaurant appears attached to living quarters at the back and there was actually a shower in the bathroom; but I'm sure that wasn't for the use of customers. So the family that runs and works at the restaurant actually live in the building. Now for the food: I ordered the Kitsune buckwheat noodles with a large shitake mushrooms, a good portion of kitsune - which is fried beancurd - and some other pieces of vegetables. The broth was delicious and most importantly it wasn't salty like some Japanese ramen or udon soups can be. It wasn't an overly large bowl; but it was about perfect as I had a large buffet lunch earlier in the day. FYI to the vegans/vegetarians there was a small piece of fishcake with the noodles and I think they added it because I mentioned to the server that I ate some seafood although I am primarily vegetarian. The only quibble I would have was I wished there was a bit more ramen in the bowl. The other dish I ordered was the inari (4 pieces). The rice was perfectly seasoned and moist. It also had a sprinkling of sesame seeds which added to the flavor. I can honestly say it's the best inari I have eaten in a restaurant as my mother made an excellent version herself. To top it off a had a Sapporo beer which was very inexpensive as beer tends to be in Vietnam - even the imported beer. The food preparation was somewhat slow; but I didn't mind as my thinking was the chef wanted to get it right. The food felt like homecooking - simple; but flavorful. As the restaurant's capacity is very low I wonder if they usually rely on reservations as I'm sure they couldn't accommodate a large rush of people. The restaurant is also located in an alley type street so it doesn't have a lot of traffic. The staff was warm, gracious, and welcoming. A gem in the heart of Danang. This true family owned restaurant is a real gem. The atmosphere, artwork and service are top notch. My favorite Japanese restaurant ever. From the Beef Udon soup to the stir-fried seafood Udon, Miso, Yaki Onigiri, Chuka wakame, Natto, Kim-Chi this is a wonderful establishment where I could eat daily.

Amazing!! The owner is so kind hearted and her brother too, even took me to find an ATM the food was even more delicious, we ate there on Christmas Day and had a great chat with the owner. Such a hidden gem, do not pass up the fried gyozas so yummy!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff - small family restaurant. Everything is homemade and the attitude towards the food is evident. The prices are reasonable. We would definitely visit again and were highly satisfied.

I think this place is a hidden gem Really tasty food and nice friendly owners , we will definately come back again . It's in a really quiet street that not many people walk down , we were the only ones in the restaurant but there was plenty of grab orders being picked up.

Great Ramen. Great Atmosphere. Great Staff. Took my 9 year old daughter here after finding it to be one of the few Ramen Restaurants that are not overpriced like most of the others in Da Nang. The ramen doesn't try to be anything other than what it is. Its traditional, authentic, and tastes amazing. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. It's a small restaurant, but not crowded, located in an unassuming ally. The decor, and even music, were Japanese and it felt like I was in a small shop in Kyoto. The staff was incredibly friendly, and met every request with a smile. Its obvious they care for the customers as much as they do their restaurant. After having visited other Raman/Japanese restaurantsin the city, this is the one we will continue to come back to.

They are doing a really nice job here. Great to have a local Japanese place I can rely on. Did delivery and they even include egg with their tonkatsu. Nice touch. Very filling and really enjoyed the meal.
