Không gian quán đúng kiểu phong cách Nhật, nhỏ nhỏ xinh xinh rất gọn gàng… Quầy bếp mở, có thể ngồi xem trực tiếp bếp làm đồ. Đồ sashimi rất tươi, ăn miếng cá hồi, cá ngừ, hàu Nhật … kèm chút mù tạt mà không hề tanh, mềm béo, tan ngon trong miệng… ramen udon nước dùng kiểu đậm đà ngọt nhưng vẫn thanh vừa vặn rất mềm vị nhé!

Ghé vào hôm sinh nhật, còn được anh chủ tặng chiếc bánh sinh nhật thập cẩm ảnh tự làm. Đáng iu vô cùng, sẽ ghé lại những lần sau.

Mình đi công tác Hội An mà lại thèm ăn ramen, sợt ra quán này nên vào thử 😹 Quán không gian hiện đại sạch sẽ nhạc hay, rất ra mùi modern izakaya, nhân viên phục vụ lịch sự. Mỳ tonkotsu shoyu ăn khá ngon, nước dùng nhìn đậm màu nhưng hương vị tương đối nhẹ nhàng, không quá mặn, ít béo nên sẽ dễ ăn với số đông. Thịt ninh không bị quá mềm, cắn vẫn dẻo dẻo sần sật mình rất ưng. Điểm trừ duy nhất có lẽ là măng và trứng ngâm hơi bị ngọt quá với khẩu vị của mình. Chắc chắn mình sẽ quay lại để thử tiếp các món nhậu 👌

Nay gia đình mình đến Simai dùng bữa tối và thật vuii vì cả nhà đều rất hài lòng. Rcm cho mng nếu mún tìm chỗ ăn đồ Nhật và nơi yên tĩnh nha ! Nhân viên thân thiện, đồ ăn lên nhanh, ngon và rất hợp túi tiền . Mỳ ramen ngonn nhưng đối với mình miếng thịt to hơn mình tưởng tượng 🤣 nên 1 bát 2 ng ăn cũng no lun mất kk ngon mng ui. Cám ơn nhà hàng ạ!

Very good Japanese food! Raman was incredible also shrimp gyoza. Dona skip the classic Vietnamese sake.

I live in the neighborhood and eat here at least once a week. The quality of sushi is absolutely outstanding. Salmon and scallop nigiri are particular favorites of mine. The curry udon is excellent, and includes shrimp tempera and mochi with a tempera crust. The vegan ramen blew me away. The broth was so rich and flavorful. It’s is probably my new favorite. Great ambiance. A very friendly staff and owner. I will keep coming back for as long as I live in Hoi An.

Leaving my first bad review. 🙈 I kid you not - the last three times we’ve come here, they’ve managed to forget our food. They literally repeat your order back to you and still miss something. My partner and I have ended up eating solo while the other sits there waiting until we just cancel. It’s so bizarre. 😅 While we were sitting there this last time, we literally watched them mess up orders for two other tables. 😂 The service just seems SO incompetent lately.

I’ve been coming here since their grand opening. This used to be my favourite restaurant in Hoi an. I know the staff there. The quality has slowly declined since I’ve been coming. From the quality of the sushi to the dumplings not being cooked all the way through to even repeatedly bringing me the wrong drink. I’ve still been loyal because I love the atmosphere and know what it once was but unfortunately the staff has changed and they are now awful. If there are more than 5 people there they can’t handle it. If nobody is there you have to get up and go to the bar to get served becuae they’re on their phone or in the back. This past visit I sat for 10 minutes trying to get someone’s attention to even get a menu while people were repeatedly helped before me. I own a business here and have repeatedly recommended people to come here. Unfortunately I will never come back.

We hebben met het gezin heerlijk gegeten. De chef was heel vriendelijk en vertelde enthousiast over zijn gerechten. Het is vers en van zeer hoge kwaliteit. De prijs kwaliteit verhouding is heel erg goed. Aanrader!

Super goede sushi als je even geen zin meer hebt in Vietnamees

We ate at the restaurant almost every evening during our stay in Hoi An. The food is fresh, varied, and generous. The staff is pleasant, and the service is fast. The restaurant is tastefully decorated. A very pleasant experience.

I recently had dinner at Shimai, and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant has a cozy, quiet, and traditional Japanese vibe. The sashimi and sushi were exceptionally fresh and practically melted in your mouth. The staff members are very friendly, polite, and attentive. Service is fast, and they make you feel welcome from the moment you step in. Considering the high quality of the ingredients, the prices are quite reasonable. It is highly recommended for anyone craving real Japanese comfort food in Hoi An!

⭐⭐☆☆☆ We’ve been to Shimai several times before and always had a great experience. The food is genuinely excellent, which is why this review is so disappointing to write. During our latest visit, my partner and I ordered ramen, gyoza, a sushi roll, three types of nigiri, and an expensive whisky. This was not a cheap meal. In the middle of our dinner, a food blogger arrived. It was very clear that the staff knew her personally. They were excited to see her, constantly checking on her table, and giving her a level of attention that no other customers received. What really disappointed us was that dishes identical to the ones I had ordered were repeatedly served to her before mine, even though she arrived well after us. We waited over an hour, while my partner had already finished her ramen and another dish, and we had finished sharing the gyoza. My sushi roll and nigiri never arrived. When I finally asked what had happened, I was told there had been a problem with the order and was asked whether I wanted to keep waiting or cancel it. At that point, after waiting for more than an hour and watching those same dishes being served to another table, I chose to cancel. To make matters worse, we had ordered and paid for a bottle of water. As we were leaving, my partner picked it up to take with us, and a waiter took it out of her hands, saying we weren’t allowed to take the bottle outside. Since we had already paid for it, this was confusing and left a very bad impression. The food is still fantastic, and that’s why I’m not leaving a one-star review. But on this visit, the service made us feel like regular paying customers came second to someone promoting the restaurant. I hope this was just an isolated incident, because the kitchen deserves much better than the service we experienced.

This was by far the best sushi that I’ve had in my life (and I have had quite a lot). Everything is made fresh right in front of you and you can tell by the chef’s techniques that he has a lot of experience. Absolutely amazing!
