The food at Bún Thủy is generally okay, the bowl of bún is quite full, the broth is easy to eat, and the toppings look decent. If only considering the food, the eatery is not bad; it still has some good points for those who like a simple, quick bowl of bún with a rich, hot flavor. However, the overall experience is significantly dragged down by the space, hygiene, and service. The eatery's space is quite inconvenient. The outdoor seating area is right next to the traffic lane, so it's dusty and noisy, not feeling truly clean or comfortable for dining. Sitting inside is hot, stuffy, crowded, and the open kitchen is near the seating area, causing heat to linger uncomfortably. The tables and chairs and tabletops are not thoroughly wiped, still having water stains and residue. The area for drinks, condiments, and used items is placed quite close to the leftover food area, which doesn't inspire confidence. The back support area is also quite messy, with many stains on the floor and walls; the eatery should seriously review its hygiene and layout. The most annoying point for me is the service. A middle-aged man in a gray shirt and shorts, who is the owner's son, has a very uncooperative attitude toward customers. His communication and reactions give the feeling that the eatery doesn't really need customers, which significantly lowers the dining experience even though the food isn't that bad. If the eatery is busy, customers can understand slowness or slight chaos, but such a service attitude is hard to accept, especially when the price is not exactly cheap compared to the average bún eatery. In summary, the food is edible and not the worst point. But the hot/stuffy space, outdoor seating near traffic, unhygienic conditions, and poor service attitude make the experience uncomfortable. The eatery is suitable for those who just need a quick meal and don't care much about the space or service. For those who need a clean, airy place with pleasant service or are dining with elderly or children, they should consider carefully. If the eatery wants to retain customers long-term, it should clearly improve its hygiene, the area for drinks/condiments, table wiping, and especially the attitude of the server.

The place was quite crowded, so I bought it to go. A bowl of oxtail and pork cake vermicelli for 60k, no side vegetables, little vermicelli. On the plus side, it was delicious, worth the money, the broth was good so I added rice to eat with it. The vermicelli here doesn't have a strong fish sauce smell, the meat is soft and fresh, the broth is rich so almost anyone can eat it, including tourists. In the same price range of 60k-70k beef vermicelli, I think Ba Thuy's beef vermicelli is much better.

Not delicious, too expensive, too much oil, bland, generally a bad experience. A bowl costs 60k but has only a few pieces of meat, which is too expensive. For drinking cups, disposable plastic cups would be more suitable, because with those cups, after one person drinks, another person drinks and risks infectious diseases, which is unhygienic.

Overall, the price of 70K is quite OK. - The hygiene is acceptable, not too clean but you can sit outside. - The eatery opens from 11 AM. - The eatery is the third house in the alley, so park motorbikes inside the alley. Cars park on ĐĐ street outside.

I find the broth rich with the flavor of simmered bones, not heavy on the shrimp paste like other eateries. Clean and quite cheap at only 55,000 VND.

Price is quite reasonable, seating is comfortable

The vermicelli here is very delicious. I have been eating here since I was a student in 2008. The shop is always clean. The service is cheerful and friendly.

The noodles here are expensive. I ordered a bowl of beef bone noodle soup, and they brought out exactly one bone, while at other places I usually eat for 50k, here they sell for 70k, and the bone and tendon have only a little bit of meat that gets stuck in your teeth. Avoid.

Try to go early

The bowl of rare tail is 60k some days, 70k some days, 90k some days. Especially, the owner always scoops me 80k-90k. Today I walked into the shop and said 3 times for a regular rare tail bowl, she still scooped a 90k bowl of bun, but honestly it looks like a 60k bowl. Not a big deal, but they should clearly distinguish between the regular 60k bowl and the special 90k bowl, not scoop arbitrarily. I've eaten here for many years, but I'm sorry, I won't eat here anymore. Or the owner should stop scooping bun and let the assistant do it. Scooping bun arbitrarily, not respecting customers.

The eatery is okay, although the flavor is not as authentic as standard Bún bò Huế, however the price is quite expensive compared to other BBH eateries. My friend and I went in to eat, ordered two special bowls with beef ribs, 2 glasses of iced tea, paid 280,000 VND

The shop cheated me twice! The first time I let it slide, but the second time was really bad. I bought bún to take home, asking for 1 portion of nạm and 1 portion of lưỡi for my parents because they really like the shop's bún, but while I was fumbling to get my wallet to pay, the shop replaced the lưỡi bowl with a giò bò bowl that I never ordered. I agree the shop makes very tasty food, and if it weren't for my parents liking their food, I would never come here. But do business with some conscience, okay? I agree the shop is busy so they might run out of ingredients, but if you're out, just tell me so I know, okay? Why do you have to cheat people like this? When I got home and opened it, I saw a lump of giò when I ordered a bag of lưỡi. Vote 1*
